Clearing the Old Place Fast

If you’re on a deadline — a closing, lease end, or occupancy date — speed matters more than perfection.

What to do the day before or day of:

• Walk every room, including attic, basement, garage, and shed
• Separate anything you’re taking with you in a car or secondary trip
• Leave the rest clearly staged for the junk removal crew
• Let the crew know of any access specifics (gate code, parking, elevator)

Attic and basement boxes: The boxes no one opened in the last two moves. At this point, they’re not getting opened.
