Hot Tub Removal in Raleigh — Full Teardown and Haul
Hot tub removal in the Raleigh area is a full-crew job. Standard acrylic hot tubs weigh 500–800 lbs drained; older wood-framed units can be heavier. We’ve done hundreds of these in Wake County and surrounding areas — the job is predictable once you know what’s involved.
Before we arrive: drain the tub completely and disconnect the electrical at the panel. The 240V circuit needs to be off — either pull the breaker dedicated to the hot tub or have an electrician disconnect it at the panel. We confirm it’s off before we start any work around the unit.
Access is the main variable in hot tub jobs. If the tub is in a fenced backyard, the gate width determines how it comes out. Most standard fence gates in Raleigh are 36–48 inches wide — narrower than most hot tubs. We cut the unit into sections that fit through the gate. That’s not damage; it’s the method. If you have a double gate, wide access, or the unit is in an open yard with direct truck access, the job is faster.
If there’s a deck built around the hot tub, we need to know before we arrive. Deck removal or modification to access the tub is a separate scope — we can include it in the job quote or you can handle it beforehand. After the hot tub is out, if there’s remaining yard debris or construction waste to clear from the area, that can go on the same load.
