Why Junk Doctors

Why Customers Choose Us

1

Breaking and Hauling Are One Job

Most people call a demo crew, then call a hauler separately. We do both in one visit. We bring the breakers, load the pieces ourselves, and haul everything. If the concrete is already broken when we arrive, the job moves faster and costs less.

2

This Material Is Heavy — We Plan for That

Concrete runs around 150 pounds per cubic foot. A residential driveway slab can be 10 to 15 tons before we touch it. We size the crew and trucks for the actual weight, not just the square footage. Sending one guy and a pickup isn't how we show up to these jobs.

3

We Cut the Line Where You Mark It

You don't have to remove the whole slab. Mark where you want us to cut — a section of driveway, a patio corner, a utility access strip — and we work to that edge. The rest of the pad stays. Clean cut, no ragged edges left behind.

4

Rebar Goes to Scrap, Not the Dump

Steel rebar pulled from reinforced concrete gets separated and sent to scrap metal recyclers. It's worth money and it's recyclable — we don't mix it into the concrete debris and send it all to landfill.

FAQ

Questions Answered.

Both. We break it and haul it in a single visit. If the concrete is already broken, the job is faster and the cost is lower. Either way, everything is removed.
Concrete removal is priced by volume and weight. Thickness, area, and rebar density all affect the estimate. We assess on-site and give you a firm price before breaking starts.
In most North Carolina residential cases, removing a private driveway or backyard patio does not require a permit. Work in a public right-of-way or on commercial property may be different. Check with your local permit office if the work is near a property line or public area.
Yes. Reinforced concrete with rebar and wire mesh is standard. We cut and separate the steel and take both the concrete and the metal. Rebar goes to scrap recyclers.
A standard residential driveway or patio takes two to five hours depending on size and thickness. Very large slabs or heavily reinforced concrete takes longer. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you describe the job.
Yes. We cut the concrete at the line you mark, break out only that section, and haul it away. The surrounding slab stays intact. This is common for driveway repairs, partial patio replacements, and utility access cuts.
Yes. Concrete pool surrounds and deck sections are a regular job type. Pools have drainage and equipment nearby, so we work carefully around those. Describe the layout when you call.
